KATHERINE BRANNOCK

Katherine Brannock is an illustrator and comic artist, born in San Diego, California.

With her distinct style, inspired by ancient mythology and fable, she creates an ambivalent world where mysterious, floating creatures live amongst fragile yet perilous environments.

Oftentimes, her work initially provides a viewer with the impression of a placid scene, but closer inspection reveals hidden undertones of sexuality and subtle violence.

Obsessed with pushing the medium of ballpoint pen to its unimaginable limits, Katherine Brannock tirelessly constructs her delicate world one line at a time- in the same way a composer might construct a sonata one note at a time.
